Who we are

HelpSignal is created and operated by E&F Compliance Services LLC. HelpSignal is a community resource status tool that helps local providers share current availability information with the community. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@helpsignal.org.

What we collect

• Provider information that providers submit through the signup form: organization name, contact name, email, phone number, address or service area, services offered, public hours, and notes.
• The public-facing resource details a provider asks us to display.
• Anonymous, cookieless usage analytics such as page views, resource searches, category filters, and resource views.
• Optional feedback, including a contact email only if you choose to provide one.
• Contact details submitted when someone at an organization claims its listing: their name, job title, organization name, work email, and phone. We use them only to confirm the claim and they are never shown on the public site.

How we use provider contact information

We use provider contact information to operate the pilot and keep listings accurate. Phone numbers may be used for provider onboarding, listing verification, resource status reminders, service updates, and confirmation of submitted status updates. Email may be used for the same operational purposes and to follow up about a listing.

Mobile information and SMS

HelpSignal does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS messages are opt-in. A provider chooses to receive them by checking the SMS consent box on the provider signup form, and can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help, or contact info@helpsignal.org.

Service providers

HelpSignal may use trusted service providers to operate the website, forms, email, SMS, and database. These providers process information only to provide those services to HelpSignal and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.

What we do not collect

• No client-level or recipient records. HelpSignal is not a case management or intake system.
• No names, birthdates, or Social Security numbers of people seeking help.
• No immigration status, medical information, or service history.
• We do not store raw IP addresses in readable form, and we do not sell data to advertisers.
